Welcome to Summer in Buena Vista!

My favorite time of year! Summer has officially arrived in our beautiful valley, bringing with it the energy and excitement that make Buena Vista such a special place to live and visit. From rafting the Arkansas River and hiking scenic trails to enjoying outdoor dining, live music, and community events, there is no shortage of adventure and beauty to experience this season.

As we welcome visitors from all over the country, we are reminded how fortunate we are to call Buena Vista home. People continue to be drawn to the natural beauty, friendly atmosphere, and relaxed mountain lifestyle that make this community so unique.

Our local real estate market continues to remain active as buyers search for mountain homes, vacation properties, and opportunities to enjoy the Colorado lifestyle year-round. While inventory is still somewhat limited, serious buyers continue to move forward when the right property becomes available. Buena Vista continues to attract those looking for natural beauty, community connection, and a slower pace of life.

With the busy season upon us, it is also important to remember patience and kindness as traffic increases around town. Please drive carefully, watch for pedestrians and cyclists, and allow yourself a little extra time during these super busy summer months.

Most importantly, let’s take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible workforce that helps make summer in Buena Vista possible. Our restaurant staff, hotel teams, retail shops, guides, landscapers, maintenance crews, and small business owners work tirelessly throughout the season. Their hard work, hospitality, and welcoming spirit are a huge part of what makes visitors fall in love with Buena Vista year after year. A little extra kindness and appreciation go a long way during these busy months.

Wishing everyone a safe, successful, and memorable summer season filled with sunshine, adventure, and special moments with family and friends!
